  • How much does it cost?
A pricing list for our 60 minute alpaca trekking experience can be found under the Alpaca Picnic tab.
  • What if I need to cancel or amend my booking?
Not to worry! We will amend your booking, however, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice and then we can reschedule your alpaca walk for another time, within 6 months of your original booking. Please note that we will only reschedule once at your request. Please call us on 07527 303240 or email tbcpumpkinpatch@outlook.com with your booking details and one of our team will you help you out. Please note we do not usually issue refunds unless we have to cancel the trek due to adverse weather conditions.
  • How do we find you?
Using our postcode in your sat nav should bring you straight to us, but as an extra precaution we have placed signs to guide you once you near the postcode. Our postcode: SA15 5RL
  • What about bad weather?
The odd shower will not stop us from getting out but if the weather is particularly bad we will ring you and reschedule your alpaca trek. A 60-minute walk in wind and rain isn’t fun, even with an alpaca by your side! Due the outdoor nature of our activities, weather does affect us and cancellations are at our discretion. We want you to have an amazing and safe time with us. If we need to cancel the walk, we will offer to reschedule it to a time that suits you. If you won’t be visiting the area again, we will be happy to issue a full refund.
  • Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, but dogs are not allowed! Alpacas get quite nervous around dogs, so it wouldn’t be fair to them if a dog joined them on the trek. We want our alpacas to be happy and comfortable to ensure the best possible experience!
  • Can I share an alpaca with a friend or family member to save money on tickets?
Yes, if you see our pricing list under the Alpaca Picnic tab, as more people are added to the experience the cost per person decreases. This is because we have 3 alpacas so if your party is more than 3 people you will share the alpacas during your walk. We have a maximum of 6 people per experience but allow spectators to join the walk with a cheaper ticket if they do not wish to walk the alpacas. Also, children under the age of 10 and individuals with learning difficulties who require support will need help to hold the lead as they walk the alpacas. The adult who is supervising will not have to pay an additional fee.
  • How many alpacas take part in the walk?
Up to 3 alpacas may join us on our trek. Seeing the 3 of them walk through the countryside together is one of the best things about the experience!
  • When should I arrive?
Visitors must arrive at the beginning of their designated time slots, if not 5-10 minutes early to make sure you get the most out of your hour with the alpacas. It is important that trekking groups keep together. If you arrive late, you will miss the trek. If other plans have been made for later in the day please allow 30 minutes after the booked slot in case we run over the hour.
  • Can I bring a buggy or weelchair?
The terrain is generally uneven and therefore unsuitable for buggies and wheelchairs.
  • Can I make a group booking?
Absolutely! A private alpaca trek for six people costs £125. If your group includes more than six people, please contact us for a bespoke price to share an alpaca between 3 people. If friends or family attending did not pay to walk the alpacas then they are more than welcome to join in on the walk with a spectator ticket. To enquire about making a private group booking, email tbcpumpkinpatch@outlook.com.
  • Can I attend an alpaca walk as a spectator?
Yes absolutely! If you are attending with a friend or family member that has paid for a walk, please feel free to join them with our spectator tickets on the trek and watch them walk our beautiful boys.
  • How old does my child have to be to walk an alpaca?
We advise children to be 10 years old and over to walk the alpacas independently. If your child is younger we would expect a parent to be holding the lead at all times with their child. Note; we wouldn't expect the parent to pay for an additional package in order to do so!
  • What does a Shared Walk mean?
It simply means two people get to walk the same alpaca for the duration of your visit. During the 1 hour walk the two guests will take turns walking the alpaca of their choice. This option comes at a discounted rate!
