We had the best day out today walking the alpacas around the farm and pumpkin patch!
The alpacas were lovely and I liked the fact we could feed them at the end of the walk. We also fed the goats! There were loads of photo opportunities (more so than the pumpkin patch we normally go to). Staff were super friendly and welcoming. The corn maze was quite the challenge and we got lost. Can’t wait to go again!

About Us
Our alpaca walks offers the opportunity for you to meet our three Alpacas, walk approximately one mile with them with a halter and feed them in their natural habitat, all whilst enjoying the amazing views.
The walk will include plenty of amazing photo opportunities, and a chance to meet the rest of the barn animals too.
What To Expect
When you first arrive at our farm, you'll be greeted by one of our team members at the car park. They will take you down to the alpaca's stable where you will meet our three boys. You will also have the opportunity to meet our goats who often follow us on our walks. Other furry farm friends may also make an appearance during your visit.
We then halter our boys and your group will decide which alpaca they would like to walk. The team member will then guide you on a lovely walk (approximately 1 mile) through fields around the farm with plenty of picturesque views along the way. Once finished we will reward our boys with some well-earned treats back at the stable.
Make sure you bring your wellies and dress appropriately as the Welsh weather always makes an appearance! If you are attending with a group and do not wish to walk the alpacas please feel free to join the walk as a spectator at no additional cost!
What To Expect At Halloween
Much like the section above, we follow the exact same structure, but this time there's a spooky twist! You will get the chance to wander through our pumpkin fields including areas not accessible to the public. There is also the added variety of Halloween photo opportunities dotted along our route.
Once the alpaca walk has finished, during the pumpkin picking season (see tab for dates) you will then have access to the explore everything The Black Cat has to offer at no additional cost!
Purchasing pumpkins and other amenities, will not be included in the package.
Note: Food vendor will be available from 1:30pm.
Here are our three beautiful boys, they love going on walks and all have very different personalities, which makes them very entertaining to watch whilst out on a walk.
Our alpacas were all born in August of 2022 and have been living here at The Black Cat since the beginning of 2023.
They were all born on the same farm and share the same dad so they've always been together making them inseparable, especially on their walks!
You will get the chance to meet all 3 regardless of how many alpacas you book to walk.
Meet The Gang
Merry is the shyest of the bunch but will happily join you for a walk. We often find him waist high in the pond or rolling around in a muddy puddle, as he loves to go for a dip!

Frodo is most definitely the leader of the herd. He will be leading the walk every time making sure his brothers are always close behind. You'll often feel like he's walking you!

Pippin is very laid back and very well-behaved on the walks. He's often right behind Frodo sticking close to your side. Pippin loves rolling in the sand and sleeping on his side under their tree!
